چکیده

In the present study, we describe synthesis and characterization of a new covalent organic framework (COF-TPP-CB[6]) which was assembled together by clicking perpropargyloxy cucurbit[6]uril (CB[6]) to azido-functionalized tetraphenylporphyrin (TPP-4N3) through copper-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAC). Perpropargyloxy CB[6] synthesized direct oxidation afford perhydroxy followed subsequent O-propargylation using NaH. We also demonstrated that resulting can be employed as an efficient stable electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution (HER) in alkaline medium upon loading it with nickel cocatalyst. The effect TiO2 different loadings Ni on HER performance TPP-CB[6] studied. Herein, 12%Ni@TPP-CB[6] optimum catalyst showed impressive H2 production rate 18.7 mmol h–1 g–1 low onset potential ?250 mV.

Ultrathin metal-organic framework array for efficient electrocatalytic water splitting

Two-dimensional metal-organic frameworks represent a family of materials with attractive chemical and structural properties, which are usually prepared in the form of bulk powders. Here we show a generic approach to fabricate ultrathin nanosheet array of metal-organic frameworks on different substrates through a dissolution-crystallization mechanism. These materials exhibit intriguing propertie...

A tunable azine covalent organic framework platform for visible light-induced hydrogen generation

Hydrogen evolution from photocatalytic reduction of water holds promise as a sustainable source of carbon-free energy. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) present an interesting new class of photoactive materials, which combine three key features relevant to the photocatalytic process, namely crystallinity, porosity and tunability. Here we synthesize a series of water- and photostable 2D azine-l...

Highly efficient electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution from neutral aqueous solution by a water-soluble anionic cobalt(II) porphyrin.

We report the use of a water-soluble anionic cobalt(ii) tetrakis(p-sulfonatophenyl)porphyrin (CoTPPS) as a stable, active, and efficient catalyst for electrocatalytic H2 generation from neutral H2O without any organic additives. The molecule features nearly quantitative Faradaic efficiency with a turnover frequency of ∼1.83 s(-1) measured over 1 h and a turnover number of 1.9 × 10(4) moles of H...

Cobalt porphyrin electrode films for electrocatalytic water oxidation.

Catalysts play very important roles in artificial photosynthesis for solar energy conversion. In this present study, two water-insoluble cobalt porphyrin complexes, cobalt(II) meso-tetraphenylporphyrin (CoP-1) and cobalt(II) 5,10,15,20-tetrakis-(4-bromophenyl)porphyrin (CoP-2), were synthesized and coated as thin films on the FTO working electrode. The films showed good activities for electroca...
